Clara Dean Russell, Fustin, ColclasureBorn December 25, 1921 in Hagerville, Arkansas to Myrtle E. and Othel R. Russell. She passed away on December 27, 2011 in Sacramento, CA.She married Walter William Fustin on October 9, 1937. They had a daughter, Glenis Marie. Walter died October 11, 1973 in Sacramento, CA. Glenis married Harold Cheek of Oklahoma and they blessed Clara and Walter with 2 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.Clara married James R. Colclasure on January 3, 1981. Jim had two sons, Clifford and Harold of a previous marriage. Harold was killed in an auto accident May of 1978 in Greenville, CA. Clifford married Peggy Ann Ellsbury and they have 3 daughters, 1 son-in-law and 4 grandchildren.Clara worked in a dress factory in Kincaid, Illinois. She sold Avon for 5 years in Sacramento. Clara worked for more than 20 years in a Dry Cleaning Business in North Sacramento. She worked 1 year in the snack bar of the 49er Drive-in Theater.Jim and Clara are members of the North Sacramento United Methodist Church where she was very active in all areas of church work. She would make a floral arrangement every Sunday with the flowers from Jim’s garden for the altar. She would decorate tables for special occasions and luncheons. She was a member of Wesley Circle, Crusaders, and served on several boards of administration of the United Methodist M.C. Jim and Clara would bring fruit and vegetables to the church from Jim’s garden and sell the freshly picked items to the members and gave the money to the church. They would be the first ones to the church and the last ones to leave to open and lock up the building. They would play games for hours together. When they got married they added to Clara’s home and made it a very comfortable place for both of them. They used to go to Sammy’s for breakfast every morning until their health prevented them from going on a daily basis.Clara was preceded in death by death by her parents: Myrtle E. and Othel Robert Russell; brothers: Robert and Charles Eugene Russell; sisters: Lucille Thompson and Patricia Ann Rayburn; first husband: Walter William Fustin and step son: Harold Colclasure.She is survived by her second husband: James R. Colclasure; daughter: Glenis Marie Cheek; son-in-law: Harold Cheek; grandchildren: Kelly Cheek and Connie Marie (Richard) Barnhart; great grandchildren: Rhanna La’Chelle Cheek, Leah Marie Barnhart-Sawyer, Lydia Audriel Barnhart, Lindsey Arianne Barnhart, Lacy Nichole Barnhart and Lauren Ashley Barnhart; several aunts, uncles and many cousins. She is also survived by her step son: Clifford W. Cloclasure; step daughter: Peggy Ann Colclasure; granddaughters: Teressa Colclasure, Bonnie Cloclasure Mason (James), Crystal Hunter and great grandchildren: Dustin Colclasure, Trystan Colclasure, William Hunter and Charlotte Mason.
