Christelle Moro's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Christelle Moro (Hoffman) May 22, 1940 – July 27th, 2025
Born in Stockton, California on May 22, 1940, Christelle came from humble beginnings. Her courage, faith, resilience, and warmth would shape the course of her life and inspire all who knew her. She lived her faith with grace, a desire to please God and walk with the Lord daily.
Christelle married Philip G. Moro, Sr in 1958 (preceded in death 2005). Together they built their lives in Sacramento, California. She was a devoted wife and mother of 7 children, 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She went on to do foster care where she raised 2 additional children that meant the world to her. Her life was filled with love, family, and service to others. She dedicated 20 meaningful years as a foster mom; where her compassion and care touched the lives of countless children and families.
A devoted mother and matriarch, Christelle poured love into her children and family. She loved hosting family gatherings that filled the home with so much love and joy. Her home was not only filled with love, but beautifully decorated for each holiday. She was very talented and over the years she made her children’s clothes, Christmas ornaments, ceramic holiday decorations, decorated wedding and special occasion cakes, as well as intricately decorated sugar cookies, that are a memory many cherish.
In her final weeks it was her desire that her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren knew that they need Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This is the most important thing in life. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and excellence. Christelle is deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure by all whose lives she touched.
