Carter, Chester Pearl's Obituary
Chester Pearl Carter was born on November 6th, 1945 in Coolidge, Texas to Tiny Mae Brown (Nunn) and Alfred J. Carter the eldest of Tiny Mae’s five siblings. In 1956, Tiny Mae decided to relocate her family to San
Francisco, where her daughter Chester would then attend several vocational & trade schools. After completing
her studies, Chester worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years. In the year 2000, Chester and her
second husband, Monroe Welch, moved to Antelope California. Chester enjoyed a tranquil lifestyle, living as a
home body for a majority of the time. She also enjoyed other hobbies such as surfing the internet, watching crime
shows, and fishing with family and friends (though she rarely returned home with a catch). Unfortunately as
Chester grew older, her health rapidly declined. She fell multiple times in her home and suffered a stroke in 2015.
She was later diagnosed with developing dementia. Due to her multiple conditions and fading health, Chester was
placed in a local 24-hour health care center, where she would be treated for many years. In January of 2025,
Chester came down with a bad case of pneumonia. After a short hospital stay, she was returned to the local
health care center. On Sunday January 19th, 2025, Chester was called home. Chester is preceded in death by her
parents & her sister Mary Parker. To cherish her memory, Chester leaves her only son Robert Pearson Sr., three
grandchildren: Robert Pearson Jr., Orlanda Pearson, and Jada Pearson, two great-grandchildren: Amir Adler &
Aiden Adler, one sister: Clara Scott, two brothers: William (Joanne) Pearson & Printis (Ruby Bacchus) Pearson,
and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends
