Catherine Mary Estampa's Obituary
Catherine Mary Estampa (Fiora) known to all as “Bay” or “Noni” passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Bay was born on April 5, 1941, in McCloud California to Bob and Bina Fiora. After graduating from McCloud High School in 1959, she moved to Sacramento where she met the love of her life Eugene Estampa. They were married on October 14, 1961, and were married for 47 years before Gene passed away in 2008. They lived on Ramsey Drive in North Highlands for the majority of their marriage where the morning ritual among neighbors for the past 40 years was to gather at her house for morning coffee. Bay is survived by her three children Karen, Eric and Tom, and her buddy, pal, caregiver, and partner in crime, daughter-in-law Marlene Estampa. She is also survived by her Grandchildren Kayla, Tierney (Charlie), Eric Jr. (Kyrina), Joshua and Giana Estampa, great grandchild Seonna, sisters Mary Ann Brickell and Nancy Ramsey, and ultimate longtime friend Susie Corder, who helped care for her during her illness. She is also survived by brother-in- law Archie Estampa, sister-in-laws Judy Estampa and Dolly Duff, many nieces and nephews including Debbie, Shay, and Denise, who along with many of her extended children, were by her side when she passed. Over the years Bay was involved with Larchmont Little League, and worked for Associated Professional Appraisers. Noni loved crocheting, especially baby blankets. She liked to travel and was always the first to jump in the car for road trips regardless if it was for the day, the weekend, the week, to watch one of her grandchildren’s sporting events, or to spend some time at the casino. She was an avid Days of Our Lives and General Hospital fan and loved all those damn baby rat dogs that think they are human, but made her happy.
Services are Tuesday, January 19, 2015, chapel of the chimes Reception to follow at the North Highlands VFW Hall 300 U St, Antelope, CA 95843.
