Carol Hansen passed away peacefully on June 8th surrounded by her four children.
Carol was born to Fred and Matilda Albertson on January 14th, 1931 in the state of Nebraska. After graduating from high school Carol attended college for two years and then went on to earn a nursing degree from the University of Nebraska in 1951. Carol worked as a registered nurse in various hospital emergency rooms. She retired from Kaiser Permanente in 1986.
After retiring, Carol moved to a lake front family cottage in Cable, WI. Carol loved Cable Lake, and took her four children there for summer vacations. Carol moved to Sacramento in 1996.
Carol enjoyed horseback riding, photography, and sailing. She was an accomplished equestrian and photographer. She also loved animals. Her favorite breed of dog was Weimaraner, and she was active in various American Kennel Club events.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her four children; Patrice Hansen-Fracchia, Steve Hansen, Kim Hudson (Russell), Kirk Hansen, granddaughters Kelley Fracchia, Laura Fracchia, step granddaughter Rachelle Hudson and her brother John Albertson.
A private memorial service was held on June 14th at her final resting place, the Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto, California.
