BAÑUELOS, Carlos T., 88, of Sacramento, passed away on March 1st, 2021 peacefully listening to ‘50s Rock Hits at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Carlos was Husband of Manuela with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born April 24, 1932, in El Paso, Texas, he was son of the late Salvador Pinela and Tomasa Torrez. He is survived by his wife, Manuela; children Maria, Gabriel, Carlos, Daniel, Michael and Marisela; grandchildren Christopher, Gilbert, Dominic, Natasha, Chelsea, Felipe, Andria, Joslyn, Raina, Carlitos, Daniel Jr, Gabriel, Alex, Nichole, Michele, Dayna, Noel, Tierra, Laney, Isabella; 19 great grandchildren and is predeceased by his eldest son Edmundo. Carlos enlisted in the United States Army after graduating from high school. He then transferred to the United States Air Force honorably serving his country until he retired. Carlos also retired from the Blue Diamond Almond Growers. After retiring he was a devoted Dad and GRANDPa who played a major part of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives. He was their biggest fans at baseball, basketball and football games, as well as, in their school activities. He drove his grandchildren to and from school from preschool thru high school. He loved introducing and teaching his children, but especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren reading, gardening, eating shady looking meals, sports, watching movies and educational programs such as the National Geographic, History, Discovery, Animal Planet and Documentaries. He couldn’t resist the opportunity to make you laugh by sharing his corny jokes. Although there were times he was seen evading the “Honey Do List,” he was an extraordinary man with a remarkable devotion to his wife and family.
