Bonnie Jean Black's Obituary
Bonnie Jean Metcalf Black went peacefully to her heavenly father March 16, 2018 after suffering from an illness.
She is survived by her husband of 59 1/2 years Jerry C Black. Loving mother of Gary Black of Rancho Cordova and Ray Black of Galt. Loving mother in law to Karen Black of Rancho Cordova and Kerrie Black of Galt. Loving grandmother to Tiffany and Jeff Greider of Elk Grove and Daniel and Jennifer Black of Rancho Cordova. Loving great-mother to Dean and Kaylee Greider. Loving sister to Wayne Metcalf of La Pine, Oregon. Loving sister in law to Helen Black of Salt Lake City and Anton Black of Salt Lake City. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Roberta, brothers Harrold and Robert, and sisters Evelyn and Roberta.
Bonnie was born in Wintersett Madison County, Iowa on July 19, 1940. When she was young the family moved to Sacramento. On September 12, 1958 she married Jerry. In 1971, she moved to Rancho Cordova where she raised her family. She worked 26 year as cafeteria manager for Sacramento City Unified School District. She retired in 1994. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she was loved by many.
