Billy Ray Owens' Obituary
Billy Owens was truly a blessed man. He was born on September 30, 1947 in Woodland California and departed this life on August 23, 2021 peacefully at Sutter Memorial Hospital, Sacramento, Ca. with his daughters and niece at his side.
Billy attended his formal education within the Grant Unified school District where he meet the love of his life Jackie Keller. The two married on October 01, 1965 and started a family in the same neighborhood that he grew up in. Billy was employed by SMUD for over 25 years in the tree division until his retirement.
Upon retirement Billy enjoyed his gardening, sitting outside drinking his coffee and the comfort of his family and friends. It was not uncommon for Billy to just pop in at his sisters for a quick cup of coffee.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother and father Orville Ray Owens, Lorene Ann Mattox, beloved brother Ricky Dale Owens. He leaves to cherish his memory his Daughters Sherrie Walters, Terrie Todd, and his son William (BJ) Owens. His grandchildren, Alicia, Kala, Jennifer, Amanda, Hugo, Alma, great grandchildren Colton,Cara, Zach, Thomas, Korie, and Declan, and his sisters Shirley, Linda, Patsy, Zona and many nieces and nephews.
