Beulah Murchison's Obituary
Beulah Golden Murchison went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2013 at the age of 106. She was born in McAlister, Oklahoma on Aug. 25, 1906. She was married to Floyd Murchison for 49 years. The couple had 9 children together- Paul Murchison, Ola (Laura) Murchison, Mae Rogers, Carrie J. Denson, Minnie Sue Henderson and four who are deceased, Rev. Edward, Rev. Fred, Donald, and Benjamin Murchison. She was also preceded in death by her mother Carrie Golden of Shady Grove, her father Jasper Jones and husband Floyd Murchison.
An active member of her community, Ms. Beulah holds charter memberships in a number of organizations, i.e. Forresthill Safety Club, Sojourner Truth Temple # 1359 IBPOEW and Eastern Star Electra Star Chapter #6. Ms. Beulah was an active member of Christ Temple Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined.
Additionally, Ms. Beulah is survived by a host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren (5 generations) other relatives and friends. “She Knew no Strangers.”
Visitation will be held Wed. February 27, 2013, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the funeral service will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 10:00 am both at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838. Interment immediately following at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
