Betty Carter's Obituary
CARTER, Betty Jeanne(Baker)Entered into rest on Friday, April 13, 2007. She was a native of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho born Sunday, November 18, 1923 and a resident of Sacramento for the past 56 years. She graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1941 and attended beauty school. She worked as a licensed beautician in 1942. She married Lewis Glenn Carter June 20, 1942 in Sandpoint, Idaho and from this 63 year union 3 children were born, Terry, Valerie and Michael. She and her husband were a faithful couple who happily dedicated many years of service to their church providing meals, transportation, time and money to the many people who crossed their path. She loved family gatherings, the ocean and traveling in their airstream. She was a beautician for 20 years and worked at South Bowl and Alpine Bowling Alley for 23 years where she retired as Assistant Manager. She is survived by and was devoted mother of Valerie (Lloyd) Bollenbacher and Michael (Glenda) Carter. Dear sister of Bob (Lorraine) Baker, Pat (Bob) Thomas and Margie (Pat) Conrow. She was a loving grandmother of Becky (Scott) Hadaway, Cassonda (Duane) Tadlock, Nicole (Jim) Raulien, Robert Hoyt, Crystal (Brad) Langston, Michael Hoyt, and Bonnie Carter. Great grandmother to Anthony, Baylee, Taylor, Emily and Jackie. She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis, parents William and Alma (McCormick) Baker, mother Teresa Baker and son Terry Lee Lewis Carter. The family invites you to attend a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 at 14th Avenue Baptist Church, 6240 14th Avenue, Sacto., CA 95820.
