Bessie May Pike's Obituary
Our loving matriarch was born on January 27, 1924 in Everton, Missouri (Dade County) and passed on February 1, 2016 (92 years old) in Sacramento, California after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. Bessie May was born to Roy Casey and Ruth Esther Gilmore Casey. She is survived by her adoring and loving husband of 71 years, Lonnie Franklin Pike, their daughters, Linda and Joy, 8 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and 2 surviving sisters, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by their twins, Lonnie Ray and Bonnie May. Honored and adored by all who had the opportunity to come into her life, she was full of love, kindness, spirit, integrity, and fun. Many memories of her wonderful life will be forever passed on from generation to generation.
The viewing will be held at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95838, on Monday, February 8th, from 3:00-7:00pm. Services will be held there on Tuesday, February 9th, at 1:00pm. A reception will follow at the American Legion Hall, 6700 8th Street, Rio Linda, CA 95673.
