Arthur Anthony Lopes' Obituary
ARTHUR ANTHONY LOPES
Born August 6, 1947 in Norwood, Rhode Island. He lost his courageous battle against liver cancer on May 21, 2015 surrounded by family and friends, he passed peacefully.
He is survived by his wife Diana, children Lisa Duran (Steven), grandchildren Dakota and Savanna, siblings Debora Brummett (Bruce), Judy, Patti Raymond (Cindy), Chrissy Cronin (Jim), Eric and Terrilyn.
Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony T. and Eugenia Lopes, and his brothers Anthony and Ernie.
Arthur worked for A T & T for 41 years. He made a lot of friends along the way. Arthur loved photography, taking his walks every day, fishing and helping family and friends with computer problems. He loved family parties, and his Thursday night at Starbucks coffee shop with other retirees. Arthur was a huge Star Trek fan, a season ticket holder for the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Monarchs. He loved helping everyone. He will be missed by his family, Diana’s family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank everyone for your support and prayers. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday, May 29, 2015 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2015 from 1:30 PM to closing at Gibson Ranch. Please announce at the gate that you are attending “Art Lopes Celebration of Life”. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Cancer Society.
