MATTILA, ANITA MARIA, entered into rest Friday, September 11, 2009. She was a native of Sheldon, CA born Saturday, February 20, 1915. Devoted mother of Robert (Mary Jo) Mattila and Ronald Mattila. Dear sister of Walter (Lorraine) Schmedtje. Loving grandmother of Roby, Stacy (Moses), Valerie (TR), Lisa, Lori (Rick) and Ronnie (Kim), also to 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Victor J. Mattila, both parents Herman and Bertha (Raulien) Schmedtje and a brother Herbert P. Schmedtje. “Nita” loved to play pinochle and to play the one armed bandits at stateline. The family invites you to attend a viewing 9:00 to 11:00am and a burial next to her husband at 11:00am on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home and Memorial Park 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95838.
