Angelo Gutierrez's Obituary
Angelo Gutierrez was born February 15, 1935 in Sacramento. He attended Robla School and left home in his teens. He moved to his sister Rose & Julian’s home in Yuba City, CA. At 18 he joined the US Marines and proudly served his country for 4 years. When he returned home he started working in construction with his brother in law Julian. At age 28 he met the love of his life Irene, through his Mom. Irene only spoke Spanish and he eventually learned Spanish and they married within 3 weeks! After a brief time in Auburn they moved back to Sacramento. He continued to work in construction. He adopted 1 son Jose and had 2 children Yolanda & Victor. He has 11 grandchildren, Mariquita, Yolanda, Monica, Sophia, Angelo, Inez, Danny, Priscilla, Salena, Alex and Dayna. He also has 12 great grandchildren to honor his memory. Angelo and Irene were married for 51 years. They went to Hawaii for their 25th wedding anniversary and on their 35th anniversary they renewed their vows of marriage at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Angelo loved dancing, golfing and being with family especially having parties. He loved going to the horse races, going to Thunder Valley and Reno. Especially playing the slot machines and visiting his brother Jim and Toni. Angelo will be missed by all who knew him.
