DELSO, ANGELA's Obituary
Angi (Angela) Marie Delso 1975 – 2024
Angi loved to travel, being outside at a campground, or on the road at a beach.
Angi (Angela) Marie Delso 49, of Sacramento, CA, died from health complications during a hospital stay on 7/28/2024.
She was born on January 27th in San Antonio TX to Gary and Michelle Pelletier. Angi developed a passion for travel that grew as a kid, as she would tell stories of being on the road in her family’s pop-up camper with her mom, dad, and sister even camping caught in the snow. She spent her early teens in England due to her father’s station in the Air Force. When the family moved back to the states Angi went to Cabrillo High School class of 1993 near Vandenberg Air Base, before moving to Sacramento, and eventually becoming a floral designer, she loved creating beautiful flower arrangements for people.
Joe Delso met the love of his life, Angi in 1991 while playing basketball at their high school courts. They played 21 and after Angi won the game, that sparked a fire in their friendship that would soon turn in to true love. After spending the next 8 years together, they decided it was time to get married Halloween weekend in Las Vegas 1999 since both shared the idea of a private ceremony.
Sara their only daughter was born on Christmas Day 1993, Sara would their greatest gift, and they devoted the rest of their life making sure their daughter was ready to take the world head on. Angi was there at all Sara’s softball games keeping score and cheering her on. Angi was elated that Sara would choose to Attend the University of Maine, where Angela’s father Gary had Attended and earned his degree, and where Sara could also be close to her family. Sara would graduate the University of Maine with two degrees and later meet her husband John Williams in Bangor, Maine where they would start a family with their two pups Paco and Jorge both whom Angi would be so happy to get the weekly pictures of the boys and their antics.
Loved by her friends, many of whom would become family over the years. Three couples that shared weekends, vacations, and traded life advice back and forth with the Delso’s, Helen and husband Andre Butler, Shandyn and husband Paul Foster, Krystelmaree and husband Dave Bell. Her friends loved her soul and how Angi would care for and be there to support their kids whether at their sporting events or life’s milestones. When the group of friends would go out, they called themselves The Fam, and all enjoyed Angi’s vibing to the music with her smile that would be described as infectious. Stories, laughter and loved was shared by the group as the years and events would become their cherished memories.
Though floral designing was her true love the slow economy would impact her time there, she continued practicing floral design for friends and family. She loved decorating houses in holiday themes especially at Christmas. She started working in management for several industries of retail, taking on roles and caring for the employees she managed, making many flower arrangements for special occasions in their lives, many remained friends long after.
Angela loved the ocean, when she was young, she dreamt of being a marine biologist. Being an Aquarius, her happy place was anywhere there was water, pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans. Whether walking on the beach or floating on the water you could see the joy and elation on her face. She loved whales, especially orcas, and would have many ocean creatures like mermaids as art or decorations for car which she named Lola. Lola her 2010 Dodge Charger was of all the cars she owned her favorite because it was the first car she actually got to pick for herself.
Angi will always be remembered for her love of cooking, that was her love language. Never needing a recipe, she could master any dish, and often those she fed would have their favorites. Guacamole, carnitas, Jalapeno Poppers were always requested, though her husband Joe loved her baked chicken, meatloaf, and chicken gyros and this list could go on forever. Angi was truly at home cooking for friends and family, for special occasions or just the spontaneous gathering.
