Amy L. Bailey's Obituary
Amy L. Bailey was born on December 30th, 1927 to Amy and John Pilgrim in Esparto, California. She married William (Bill) Bailey Jr. in Portsmouth, Virginia on March 7th, 1953.
Amy attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in San Francisco, California where she became a Registered Nurse. She worked at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento and Sutter Hospital in Roseville. Upon her retirement she worked as a hospice volunteer.
Amy also served her country in the Navy. A long-time resident of Esparto and Sacramento, Amy was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Rio Linda, as were her parents before they passed away. She loved books on tape, spending time with her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband William T. Bailey Jr., her parents Amy and John Pilgrim, and her daughter Amy Ann Bailey.
She is survived by her daughters Diana Knoles, Laura Sabins (Jack), Tamara ILG (Gary), and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Amy will be laid to rest on Monday, June 21st at 10:00 AM at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
