Alton Dean 's Obituary
Alton Dean-Tell Jr. was born in Oakland, California on April 5, 1943 to the late Alton Dean Sr. and Clara Johnson. He was one of 14 siblings. Alton was a proud entrepreneur of Dean’s Salvage from 1970-present. He was in the National Army Reserve and the Civil Air Patrol. His lifelong hobby was camping and fishing. Alton met Janet Lee Skalisky in 1973. They shared together 44 loving years of marriage. They are proud parents to Shaun Sr., grandparents to and Shaun Jr. and Demetrius, and great grandparents to, Idris. Alton was also blessed with four additional children Eugene, Swazerre, Tabitha, and Terrence; and 11 grandchildren: Dhanyal, Geremie, Mia, Tatiana, Myisha, Sha’Ron, Terrence Jr, Desiree, Danny Jr., Jeremiah, and Amber. Alton Dean Tell Jr. was a loving, kind, and compassionate human being with a huge heart. Alton always knew what to say and when to say it. Alton had the ability to touch everyone’s heart through his words of wisdom, his laugh, his smile, his innocence. These were his gifts. Alton brought peace to a world that lacks peace. On January 14, 2020, Jesus called Alton home to Heaven, leaving the world less bright. Alton’s legacy continues through the lives of his children. Alton’s faith in Jesus along with a covenant he made to Jesus saved him and allowed him to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. According to John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” According to John 8:36, “if the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” Although a star has fallen from the sky, a sparrow reached Heaven.
