Alicia Ana Fritz's Obituary
Alicia Sandoval Fritz-April 29, 1937-March 3, 2016
Alicia Sandoval Fritz, 78, was called to her eternal rest after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on March 3, 2016. Though we mourn the loss of our beloved, she leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and unconditional love. She will be most remembered for her love of nature, cooking, gardening, eclectic interest in music and spending quality time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout the years.
She was born on April 29, 1937 in Santa Ana, El Salvador to Juana Sandoval and Julio Echeverria. She was the eldest of four children. Alicia lived in El Salvador until the age of 25. She made a courageous decision to move to the United States, specifically San Francisco, California to make a better life for herself and her young daughter, Nora. They adjusted well to their new environment and she held many different jobs which aided in her support for her and her daughter. Several years after getting acclimated in the states, she met her future husband George and soon after was married and started a family. They resided in San Francisco until they moved to Sacramento in 1979, where they spent many happy years together.
Alicia is preceded in death by her husband Peter George Fritz, Sr; daughters Nora Rose (Benito), Gina McCoy (Hollie), Ana Beck (Tim) and sons; Peter Fritz, Jr (Peih), Steve Fritz (Denise).
Siblings; Esperanza Sandoval, Lucia Soares, Jose Humberto Olmedo Costa
Twelve grandchildren; Josette (Patrick), Suzette (Mark), Jennifer (Joseph), Matthew (Kelsy), Raven, Mason, Methias, Sarah, Seth, Angelica, Jeremiah, Bianca.
Eight great-grandchildren; Anissa, Vincent, Kylie, Casara, Cyniah, Elias, Khloe, Logan
