Alice Katherine Baker's Obituary
Alice Katherine Baker
Was born the eldest of 5 children just before the
Great Depression to Ray and Alma on October 29, 1927
and sadly, left us on August 22, 2021
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, her husband, and sons Eddie & Steven and daughter-in-law Sharon.
She was raised primarily in the Tulsa, OK area until she
wed Harold and they moved to Sacramento in 1949. They soon
purchased 20 acres in Reigo where they raised their 7 children.
With so much room to roam there were plenty of extended family
gatherings and The Baker Ranch was THE place to be during those early years.
As the children grew and started moving out on their own, Alice became
employed at Blue Diamond Growers where she worked seasonally until her retirement.
Alice loved going to Reno, Colusa Casino and Red Hawk to play her favorite slot machines. She also enjoyed Bingo, reading, crossword puzzles and never missed an episode of Judge Judy or Jeopardy.
She is survived by her sons Harold & Gary and daughters Sharon, Sandy, Sarita & Marylou. She was the proud Granny to 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and Granny the Great-Great to 15, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
