Alfred F. Solorio's Obituary
Alfred F. Solorio was born in Sacramento California and lived there his entire life. In his youth, he would shine shoes for a nickel at the train station and he picked tomatoes in the fields. He was always proud of his hard work and where he came from and it is evident by the care he took in everything he did and everything he owned. He joined the army and once his service ended he worked on the electrical wiring for aircraft at Mc Clellen. He retired young but worked at multiple jobs including being head groundskeeper and serving beer at Rivercats games. That was his favorite job by far. He loved playing Santa every Christmas and would volunteer his time at schools all over Sacramento in order to bring the joy of Christmas to all ages. Alfred traveled the world but his favorite thing to do was to throw parties in his backyard and invite as many people as possible. He loved to host and entertain family and friends. He battled Cancer for over 5 years because he had a goal to make it to 90th birthday and have a blow out party... and party he did. Along the way he lost his wife Soila Solorio and 3 children Phoebe, Connie and Michael. He is survived by his children Alfred Jr., DeeAnn & Juanita and his dozens of grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. We all love you and will miss you for ever."
