Robert Murray Carnelison's Obituary
Robert Murray Carnelison, known as Mickey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 13, 2018 in Lodi, California at 87 years old. Although his journey on earth has ceased, his spiritual walk with God will forever continue
and his family takes comfort in knowing this.
Mickey was born on March 21, 1932 in Missouri to Lewis Jackson Carnelison and Nellie Vernetta Woods. He married his beautiful wife, Ruby Jeanne (Connor) Carnelison, in 1950 and they spent a wonderful, rewarding 68 years together. He resided in Rio Linda, California and worked as an Automotive Specialist and Construction Foreman the majority of his life, but his time was more defined by his life outside of work.
His family remembers him as the loving outdoorsman drinking hot, black coffee, always fishing, horseback riding, hunting and the memorable camping trips the entire family will cherish and talk about for years to come. He was devoted and passionate towards the church and towards his family.
Mickey is survived by his wife, Ruby Carnelison; his daughter, Sherry and her husband Junior Friend; his other daughter, Brenda and her husband Bob Watts; his son, Robert D. Carnelison; and his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Larry Dean Carnelison.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at Full Gospel Church, 713 Claire Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95838 on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 am. Flowers may be ordered from Sunset Lawn online or a florist of your choice and delivered to Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838.
