STECK, Treva Sherlene(Stogsdill)Entered into rest December 18, 2006 in Roseville, CA at the age of 70. Born September 3, 1936, she was a native of Miami, OK and long time resident of the Sacramento area. She is survived by her children Frances Helmick Azevedo of CO, a CA native, Bill “Butch” Helmick, Delbert Helmick, Teresa Helmick Wise all of Sacramento, CA, Cheryl Helmick Grandmaison of Orville, CA, Rebecca Stogsdill Meisenburg of OK, Terri Helmick Ferguson of MO, Edward Steck Jr., of S. Lake Tahoe, CA and John Steck of Roseville, CA. She is also survived by one sibling, Bobby Stogsdill of Commerce, OK, brother-in-law Ray Steck, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and some great grandchildren on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents Sherman Joseph Stogsdill and Opal Mae Woolworth Stogsdill and her loving husband, Edward Richard Steck. She was a member of Women of the Moose and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, both in North Sacramento, and the Cherokee Tribe in OK. She was a Cherokee Okie. She was a former Sacramento Bee route carrier. She loved her trips to Jim Denio’s Auction with husband Ed and the children. Friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, December 22, 2006 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and funeral services at 1:00 pm at SUNSET LAWN CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
