Terri Diane Emery April 13th 1957 – March 1st 2015
Terri was born in Lompoc California, moved to Oxnard and at the age of 13 years moved to Sacramento. Terri graduated from Mira Loma High School and was a retired analyst for the State Of California, Department of Education.
Terri’s family does not want her illness to define her but to remember the love and joy she was blessed with and gave freely to others. As a teenager and young adult she lived her life without fear and to the fullest, as an adult she was quick to love and slow to anger. She was a loving mom and had the deepest compassion for teenagers that didn’t have a mom to care about them. She often told her children “I wish I had the money to buy a great big house for all the kids that need a mom and a home.” Terri was never able to buy a house that would sleep 50 but she did find a way to help kids. She was a great supporter of the “Make a Wish ” Foundation. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking for donations to “Make a Wish.”
Terri is proceeded in death by her nephew Christopher Gene Conklin, dad Gene Shields Rhodes and her mom Wanda Lee Rhodes.
She is survived by her two sisters Rhonda Conklin and Lisa Rose, her Miss Judy, 3 beautiful children, son Tommy Emery, daughters Jennifer Emery and Sarah Waggoner, Grandchildren, Great Grandson Benjamin Michael Williams fondly known as Beamer, Aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins many friends and all who knew her as just “Mom”
