Hayden, Leonard Charles “Chuck”

Passed away peacefully at his home in Loomis, CA on November 25, 2014 at 5:19 pm surrounded by his family and friends. He was 80 years old. He was born May 19, 1934 in Wyondotte, Michigan to Leonard Charles Hayden and Mary Margaret Byron. After his Father’s passing, his mother remarried Rex A. Burgess who was a father to him.
He was raised in Nitro, West Virginia. He joined the Air Force and went west. He was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Texas. Then he moved to California, stationed at McClellan AFB as an Aircraft Mechanic. After leaving the service he was a Reserve Police Officer in North Sacramento until North Sacramento Police Dept. was dissolved. Then in 1957 he joined the Iron Workers Union Local 118 which he retired from in 1986.
He was a very dedicated family man. He was always there to lend a hand or teach a lesson in life. Always on the sideline for his kids and grandkids. Whether it be at a Del Oro football game, a high school rodeo, softball, gymnastics or ice skating.
Chuck was a lover of horses and all animals. He loved to go fishing or camping and always appreciated a good prank or joke and he was usually behind it.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his brother James Pashnee and sister Grace Stanley.
He was the strongest, toughest man we knew, we all loved and respected him in the highest regard. He always had a story with a life lesson and meaning. He will be dearly missed by all.
