I believe that my mother Sylvia Garrison (LaRue) who passed in 2019 was a friend of Janie’s from the 1940’s. These photos indicate they were taken at the American River in Sacramento in 1946. The other individuals are noted as being Wanda and Dan Mendez.

Aunt Janie is the best person anyone can have the pleasure of knowing. She was full of great stories as well as those who knew her. My favorite story is from their former neighbor in sacramento, Bob. Albert and Bob were having a water fight with their garden hoses. Running from back yard Janie was running thinking she would make it into her house via the front door. Albert being the fun loving guy had locked the front door. Well Bob just let Janie have it with the garden hose. Albert laughed. Bob laughed. Janie laughed. What a great memory.
